How does Kidbo deliver personalised content?

Thanks to technology, so much information you receive is tailored to your preferences: your amazon shopping suggestions, your suggested playlist or vidoes on youtube. It’s simple, saves you time and the more you use it, the better the suggestions become. In 3 simple steps, we aim to do the same on the Kidbo feed:
  1. All information in our database is tagged by an age range, specific parenting topics and, if it applies, a location

  2. Your profile allows us to filter your feed for your child’s age. From there, you can discover a variety of key parenting topics for that age each day

  3. Each time you engage with a piece of content, this helps the platform to determine topics you are interested in and what to suggest next.

We’ve done hours and hours of searching and organising so that you can just focus on discovering the parenting content you need. Simple, right?

What is the difference between Kidbo and other parenting sites?

So many amazing parenting resources exist online which give you access to a wealth of expertise and experience. Each resource represents a potential solution to your question or helpful tip you might need. At Kidbo, we make it simple to discover all the potential solutions that can help you to make an informed decision as a parent. Our mission is to make the Kidbo feed a really simple tool to navigate all these suggested solutions and to allow you to discover the advice that best suits your parenting goals.

We believe that parenting finds inspiration as a community. Whether it’s you and your partner, between family members or a close group of parenting friends, we want to make it as easy as possible for this exchange to happen each day. First, this happens by making it simple to share the content you discover inside Kidbo or to other channels. Your profile is also a powerful way to store the information you’ve found useful. This is our way of creating a simple, more empowered parenthood for all.

Security is very important to me. How does Kidbo ensure my data is secure?

Data security is extremely important for Kidbo. We take key measures to protect your personal information in an effort to prevent loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Please be aware, however, that despire our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

Does Kidbo have an app?

Kidbo will be launching an app in the future, but our first step begins with launching a beta website that parents love and that helps them to discover a new way to navigate parenthood.

How does Kidbo suggest content on my feed?

Kidbo’s feed first looks at your direct connections, as we know how important it is to hear from the parents you trust. Our algorithm then looks at your past engagement to suggest related or relevant topics you might like to read. We also believe that parenting is constantly about discovering things “you didn’t know you needed to know”, so we’ll suggest content based on what’s trending in your age group or what’s also relevant for your age range.

What’s the difference between Kidbo and finding parenting information on Google or Facebook?

Both tools are amazing modern resources for parents, as Google is the “go to” resource for modern parenthood and Facebook allows so many parents to connect and to share each day. However, Kidbo believes that today’s family need a tool built with a “parenthood first” mindset.

When a parent searches for a question, they are looking into a topic that might be a focus for many months or years as their child gets older. For this reason, Kidbo has built the database around topics that change and grow as your little one does and our content is always tagged by age groups.

When it comes to a community, we want to give you access to information that’s trending now, but also the answers discovered along the way by other parents. For this reason, we are combining the ability to search topics with the power of networks all in one platform for parents.

I’d like to get more localised information. How does Kidbo map out this kind of content?

Currently, Kidbo provides localised information for only North London and Brooklyn. However, we welcome the opportunity to partner with local parents to help us make it simpler to find local suggestions in more neighbourhoods.
